There is NO 1 SIZE FITS ALL!
There are three primary Brain networks: Recognition, Strategic, and Affective. Recognition asks, the "what" of learning. What materials will be presented in different ways to assist students with comprehension. Strategic asks, the "how" of learning. How can students use different ways to express what they have know. Affective asks, the "why" of learning. Why does the activity or assignment keep the students engaged and motivated.
My lesson plan "The history on Japanese Manga and American graphic characters" hits on all three principles. I provide multiple means of representation, action, expression, and engagement. Most middle school are engaged or partake in some form of anime and animation, but they are not familiar with the origin. The students with learning and sensory disabilities, as well as, physical were able to participate and stay engaged because of different activities each day.
